Brian Mills is a multidisciplinary visual artist, fashion designer, art educator, mentor, and community leader whose work is rooted in creativity, faith, and service. A California native raised on both coasts, Brian describes himself as a “Cali native with a Philadelphia heart.” These influences have shaped his distinctive artistic style and commitment to using creativity as a tool for expression, connection, and positive change.
Brian is the founder and creative force behind MISCEL, a clothing line whose name stands for “My Image Shines Christ’s Eternal Love.” Through original apparel and visual art, MISCEL blends fashion, culture, faith, and self-expression into wearable messages of purpose and inspiration. Brian’s paintings have also been featured in galleries and exhibitions, allowing him to share visual stories that explore identity, spirituality, and the human experience.
He is a Studio Artist and Teaching Artist at The Delaware Contemporary, where he continues developing his artistic practice while introducing others to the transformative power of creativity. Throughout the community, Brian is dedicated to making art education accessible to young people. He serves as Art Director at Bellevue Community Center, where he leads Creative Lobby, his after-school arts program. He is also an after-school and summer art teacher at Kuumba Academy, creating engaging experiences that encourage students to explore their imaginations, strengthen their artistic abilities, and confidently express themselves.
Beyond the studio and classroom, Brian is a devoted faith and youth leader. He serves as a Deacon at The Hill Church, a Teen Leader for Youth Community Nights, and a mentor to young people throughout the community. Whether through a painting, a clothing design, an art lesson, or a meaningful conversation, Brian is committed to helping others recognize their gifts, discover their purpose, and feel seen.
Through the many roles he carries, Brian Mills continues to build a legacy that reaches far beyond the canvas—one grounded in artistic excellence, fashion, education, mentorship, faith, and lasting community impact.
